New Technology for Regulating Online Gambling

27 Jul 2006

Online gambling is a very problematic issue in the US lately, as legislation seems to go against all kind of online gambling and keeps moving up the legislative ladder. The main argument of US law makers focuses on the lack of information regarding online gambling fans and as a result, the inability to control the industry and prevent gambling problems from emerging.

There is one man who seems to have all the answers. Global Cyber GPS CEO, Bill White, who was mentioned all over online gambling news last October for announcing "A legitimate, fully lawful online gambling industry is coming to America, and soon" is that man. His announcement made on the annual Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, created a media stir and he was widely quoted as the first authority to make such a statement. That same man appeared on the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States meeting, presenting his company's technology solution to regulating online gambling. "What's wrong with online gambling is the absence of regulation", said White, "The governments you represent need the ability to regulate online gambling, which has not existed until now".

White explained that his company's patented use of GPS, allows creating geographic borders in cyberspace, thereby allowing online casino operators to prove to state regulatory agencies that all of their online casino members are physically located within a given jurisdiction boundary. This creates what White referred to as the "Perfect Regulation for Internet Gambling". This technology also enables governments to obtain all required data about online casino gamblers and even verify their identity and age.
Following NCLGS meeting, White stated that he was asked by the council to perform an early demonstration of his technology and claimed this meeting was yet another step toward legalization of the online gambling industry in America. NCLGS president, Senator Steven Geller, said that if this technology really works, it can make a huge difference to the online gambling industry.
